Why Yahweh granted Israel an empire
By: Pastor Paul R. Mullet
In the days of Moses, when Israel actually formed a Nation, Yahweh or Elohim, explained His purpose for making Israelites a people of influence and power. He told them: “Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed, and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto me above all people: for all the earth [is] mine: And ye shall be unto me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These [are] the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel” (Exodus 19”5-6). It is clear that Yahweh had intended the TRUE Nation of Israel, and not the current nation, as a model nation. Something that those snakes seem to forget and once again go to the proving that they are in fact NOT the TRUE ISRAEL AND CHILDREN OF YAHWEH! He commanded Moses to tell them; “Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish [ought] from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the Lord your God which I command you. Keep therefore and do [them]; for this [is] your wisdom and your understanding in the sight of the nations, which shall hear all these statutes, and say, Surely this great nation [is] a wise and understanding people” (Deuteronomy 4:2; 6)
Yahweh wanted Israel to set and be the example that would teach other nations the benefits that came with obeying HIM-thus faithfully maintaining HIS laws and commands. When He established Israel as a great and mighty nation, He gave Solomon the wisdom he needed that exceeded the understanding of the other rulers in the region. Solomon at that time became internationally famous for his wisdom that was a gift from Yahweh, (I Kings 4:29-34) and his subjects apparently were at peace within their lands.
Yahweh intended that same wisdom granted unto Solomon and Israel, of His way of life and His laws be made available to other nations. He gave Israel a magnificent opportunity to spiritually enrich or bless “the families of the earth”, just as He had promised Abraham. But, neither Solomon nor the people he led kept their eyes on the bigger picture. The physical benefits of prosperity, wealth and fame became their ONLY focus. They lost sight of the reason for their existence as a nation. Not unlike we are doing today. We too have lost our foundation in Yahweh and His plans for us as a Race as His Children, the True Israelites of the Holy Scriptures, and friends this is a mistake on our part, for it is we who have abandoned the mission that Yahweh had allotted to us, not the other way around. See, it is human nature to turn our backs, but it is also Human nature to return to what we know and what we should be doing. Solomon increasingly yielded to his own weakness until, at the end of his life, he had abandoned the great Elohim, Yahweh, God, who had given him his empire. It was Solomon’s loss of faith in Yahweh that was the ultimate reason for the destruction of Israel. Let us not make that same mistake, let us remain true to Yahweh, as He has remained true to us, HIS TRUE HOUSE OF ISRAEL.
