Science fiction novel explores “what if MLK had lived”?

An introduction to Deja Vu, by Billy Roper

This alternate reality science fiction novel explores how America might have been different today, if Martin Luther King, Jr., had not been assassinated at the Lorraine Motel in Memphis, Tennessee, on April 4, 1968.

Have you ever wished that you could just start over, and do things better, this time around? ‘Déjà vu’ is that feeling that something that is happening or is about to happen has already been experienced before. What if time travel, backwards only, was possible? What if changes engineered from the future left small moments of ghost memory where the past had been overwritten, like recording over an old fashioned audiotape? We might call that ghost memory of overlap, ‘Déjà vu’.

If you liked Stephen King’s 11/22/63, you’ll really enjoy this mind-expanding adventure into our possible pasts, and new potential futures. After a nuclear war in an alternate reality leaves an astronaut stranded, he finds a way to travel back in time to fix the future. Along the way he does and undoes some of the worst and best things imaginable, and forever changes our destiny.

Imagine…What if MLK had lived, and become the first African-American President of the United States…in the 1980’s?!?

You can count on me to buy it and read it. I’ll leave a review when I’m finished.

Had King lived he would not, as brain dead conservatives think, be a Tea party member or a responsible Republican, or a backer of Donald Trump. He would be solidly in league with Black Lives Matter if indeed he did not even have a more radical group. This is the “Christian” who did not believe in the virgin birth or the miracles of Christ. His Christianity, like his universal inclusion ideology, was a means to an end to break down barriers, our barriers, for his and only his people.
