Yahweh’s Word, Does He keep it?
By: Pastor Paul R. Mullet
Does Yahweh keep His promises and commitments even when the Race of Adam fails to abide by theirs? Yahweh’s character and values never change. Therefore, He could never have abandoned His promises to True Israel. Through the mouth of one of His prophets He exclaimed to True Israel,
“For I am the Lord, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed. Even from the days of your fathers ye are gone away from mine ordinances, and have not kept them. Return unto me, and I will return unto you, saith the Lord of hosts. But ye said, Wherein shall we return?” (Malachi 3:6-7)
Through the prophet, Jeremiah, Yahweh promised that Israel as a nation would continue to exist if the sun, moon and stars continued to shine.
“Thus saith the Lord, which giveth the sun for a light by day, and the ordinances of the moon and of the stars for a light by night, which divideth the sea when the waves thereof roar; The Lord of hosts is his name: If those ordinances depart from before me, saith the Lord, then the seed of Israel also shall cease from being a nation before me for ever” (Jeremiah 31:35-36).
He promised to protect and guide the destiny of all the descendants of ancient True Israel until they, including those among the lost tribes, are fully restored as one nation at Yahshua’s return.
Yahweh has made wonderful promises, some to individuals, some to nations, and even some to all. If he ever abandoned any promise and commitment to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their seedline, the True Israelites, how could we ever believe He would keep His promises to us?
Our faith rests on the promises that Yahweh means what He says. It is because He is faithful to all His commitments that we have a solid foundation for trusting Him to keep His promises. We see, then, that Yahweh’s promises to True Israel are vitally important to each of us personally. The truthfulness of the Holy Scriptures itself would collapse if Yahweh failed to fulfill His commitments to those exiled (Israel) people. This is yet another reason for you to study this subject. Either these “so-called” lost tribes really do still exist or Yahweh was not faithful to His promises.
By confirming Yahweh’s continual involvement in the past, present and future of the children of True Israel, we then validate His unwavering commitment to keep His word. Such confirmation gives us a solid foundation for our faith that Yahweh will keep His promises to us.
By fulfilling His promises to all the tribes of True Israel, Yahweh will also, at the return of Yahshua, prove to the ridiculers and doubters that He is in fact trustworthy. He will then demonstrate to all nations that He stands behind every word He has ever spoken through His prophets. He will confirm that He has the power to direct history as He desires.
As Yahshua stated to Yahweh; “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth” (John 17:17).
